Preserving the Legacies of Those that Flew

Nearly all of us have friends or family members that were involved with aviation in some sort of capacity. For some it was service in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, or Iraq. For others it was involvement in the Air National Guard or Reserves, Civil Air Patrol, civilian flying, sport aviation or working in companies that produced aircraft and parts. Many of our veterans are now slipping away from us, leaving behind the remembrances of their aviation service - documents, photos, uniforms, patches and other items.

Sometimes these items are left to family members that do not wish to keep them. Not understanding their historical value, these items unfortunately, are given away, donated to thrift shop organizations or even thrown away.

NYAviator would like to offer its services to receive these items, catalog and photograph each one, and then distribute them to aviation museums for their archives and exhibits.

NYAviator also has the capability to digitize documents up to 10”x12” and photographs (including slides and negatives) for preservation. We are happy to provide copies of the digital files to the item donars.
